Itinerary

  1. We begin early, leaving the beautiful city of Sydney behind as we head west. Around 40 minutes later we arrive at our first stop: Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park. This is the home to the largest collection of Australian native animals in the world, with over 2,000 animals on site.\n\nFeatherdale is renowned for its close-up wildlife encounters. Here, you can hand-feed friendly Kangaroos, take a professional photo with a cute and loveable Koala, snap a selfie with the “happiest animal on earth” the Quokka and meet Wombats, Tasmanian Devils and more. You’ll also see the vibrant colours of Australia’s native birdlife, including Emus, Cassowaries, and laughing Kookaburras. For those excited to explore Australia’s wilder side, some of the country’s most famously “scary” creatures are also on display including Dingoes, Crocodiles, Snakes, and Spiders. (75)
  2. A highlight of the day is our visit to Wentworth Falls, one of the most impressive waterfalls in the region. The falls plunge nearly 300 metres in total, making them among the tallest in the Blue Mountains and a true standout of the tour.\n\nWentworth Falls is famous for its undercliff walk, a sheltered and scenic trail that winds beneath massive sandstone overhangs along the Jamison Valley. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful walks in the Blue Mountains, offering dramatic perspectives and constantly changing views. On clear days, the lookouts provide sweeping panoramas stretching more than 50 kilometres across the valley. \n\nBushwalking is a classic Australian experience, and there are several walking options here to suit different energy levels. Please note that the area does include stairs and as the saying goes, what goes down must come back up. But the effort is well worth it, especially with lunch waiting at our next stop. (90)
  3. We then visit Leura Village, widely regarded as the prettiest village in the Blue Mountains. Elegant, leafy, and full of character, Leura is known for its charming main street and relaxed mountain atmosphere. Enjoy free time to have lunch at one of the many cafés, patisseries, or tea rooms, browse boutique shops and bookstores, or simply wander and soak up the peaceful mountain surroundings. (60)
  4. The afternoon brings you to Echo Point, the Blue Mountains' most famous lookout. Bask in the golden light as it illuminates the Three Sisters and casts a mesmerizing blue haze across the valley. (30)
  5. Before returning to Sydney, stretch your legs at Cahill’s Lookout and Boars Head, two final breath-taking views over the megalong valley to cap off your day. Enjoy the flexibility to customize your stops and make this tour truly your own.\n (15)
  6. Led by passionate, knowledgeable and local guides who genuinely love what they do, you’ll travel in a comfortable luxury vehicle designed for a relaxed and enjoyable day. This tour delivers an unforgettable Blue Mountains experience from start to finish.\n (5)

Itinerary

  1. We’ll begin our tour with a drive through Sydney’s oldest neighbourhood – The Rocks, where we’ll share a bit of Australian history with you, and point out some of the great pubs and restaurants in the area. We’ll stop for our first postcard view of the Opera House, harbour, and bridge. (30)
  2. We'll cross the Sydney Harbour Bridge to overlook the city from the northern side. Here is a panoramic view of the city including the Bridge the Sydney Opera House. (30)
  3. If there are other areas of central Sydney you are interested in getting acquainted with – such as Barangaroo, King Street Wharf, Chinatown, or the main shopping area – we can share those with you now, or on our return at the end of the day.\nWe’ll roll up Macquarie Street past some of Sydney’s monumental 19th century buildings and on to our second postcard view – this time from Mrs Macquarie’s chair.\n\nWe pass St Mary’s Cathedral – the seat of the Sydney Catholic diocese – and Hyde Park before heading east. We can stop for you to visit the Cathedral, if you’d like. (30)
  4. The Eastern Suburbs – The Drive to Bondi Beach\nIn Paddington we’ll introduce you to one of Sydney’s loveliest residential neighbourhoods. Here the narrow streets are lined with immaculately maintained Victorian terrace houses replete with wrought iron lacework reminiscent of New Orleans. In the commercial areas, we’ll point out the charming pubs and cafes intermixed with high-end clothing boutiques and art galleries.\n\nThe Paddington Markets are a mainstay of the community. If you are with us for a longer tour on a Saturday, we can pop in and have a look at the stalls selling clothes, crafts, and food. Or we’d be happy to drop you here at the end of the tour if we begin early enough.\n\nWe’ll do a half-loop through Sydney’s sprawling, green oasis – Centennial Park – as we head for the beach suburbs of Bronte, Tamarama, and Bondi. (30)
  5. Bondi Beach Coastal Walk, Surf and Restaurants\nIf you’d like to experience the famous Bondi Coastal Walk – we can drop you off in Tamarama to walk the 20 minutes or so to Bondi Beach. You’ll follow a footpath along the clifftops, taking in breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.\n\nOtherwise we’ll park at Bondi and have time for a stroll along the esplanade, perhaps a quick dip in the ocean, and, on a longer tour – Bondi offers a wealth of lunch options. (60)
  6. Watsons Bay Lunch, ride back with us or the ferry\nWe’ll drive though Dover Heights – stopping for a spectacular view of the city and harbour. We can take in the sparkling seas and sandstone cliffs of Diamond Bay, visit The Gap in Watson’s Bay, and enjoy a stroll around South Head for views of the full expanse of Sydney Harbour and across to Manly.\n\nWatson’s Bay also offers some excellent lunch options – notably Doyle’s Seafood Restaurant (for a proper sit-down meal) or their fish and chip take away, had as a picnic in Robertson Park.\n\nIf you’d like to return to the city on the ferry from here, we can walk you to the wharf and help sort out your ticket. It’s a beautiful ride, stopping at Rose Bay, and delivering you to Circular Quay. (30)
  7. If you stick with us for your return, we’ll drive through leafy Vaucluse, passing some of the grand private schools of Australia. On a longer tour, we can pop into Vaucluse House and gardens – one of the last remaining 19th century mansions with intact grounds – now a museum. We pass Rose Bay – full of yachts bobbing at their moorings. Keep an eye out here for sea planes coming and going – their depot is here. (20)
  8. Lastly, we’ll have a look at Kings Cross and Woolloomooloo – Sydney’s one-time red-light district and a home to the Australian Navy.\n\nAt the end of your day, we can return you to your hotel or any other Sydney location you’d prefer.\n\n
