1. • Pickup from your Sydney based accommodation \n• With your private tour guide, journey to an outer Sydney or Blue Mountains location where you are likely to see as many as 40 kangaroos. Your guide will explain some of the more interesting behaviours of the kangaroo.\n • Travel back to your pickup location or optionally another city, North Sydney or Parramatta location (from Parramatta you can take a boat ride along the Parramatta river - ferry tickets are not included).\n\nNative birds will often be seen (including sulphur crested cockatoos, kookaburras, rosellas, rainbow lorikeets, magpies, etc). In June - mid July and September to mid November we often see migrating humpback whales from one of the vantage points we stop at. 1. We will take a boat to a unique island where there are no cars and people use wheelbarrows to cart their shopping from the ferry wharf to their homes and school children ride their bikes to the wharf to catch a ferry to school. (60)
2. We will stop for lunch at Olympic Park, where the 2000 Olympics were held. Here, we will meet some of the local ibis (also known as bin chickens because they raid garbage bins). We will also visit a wetlands area where we may see some Sydney water birds. (60)
3. In the afternoon, we will visit areas where many species of Sydney parrot make their homes. (60)
