Overview

This is a one-day, 8-hour tour departing from Ho Chi Minh City with hotel pickup between 7:30 and 8:00 AM. The group travels by air-conditioned vehicle for about one and a half to two hours to My Tho in the Mekong Delta. The first stop is Vinh Trang Pagoda, where visitors spend around 30 minutes exploring the temple known for its combination of Chinese, Vietnamese, and Khmer architectural styles. Next, the tour includes a 40-minute boat ride on the Tien River, passing the four islets named Dragon, Turtle, Unicorn, and Phoenix, as well as local shipyards and floating fish farms. After the boat ride, the group continues to Ben Tre Province, known as the Coconut Kingdom. Here, visitors tour a coconut candy workshop and take a small rowing boat, called a sampan, through narrow canals lined with nipa palm trees. At a local fruit orchard, tropical fruits are served along with traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music called Đờn Ca Tài Tử. Lunch follows at a riverside restaurant featuring Mekong specialties such as elephant ear fish, fresh spring rolls, and caramelized clay pot fish. In the afternoon, participants can choose to walk or cycle through a nearby village, stopping at workshops that produce honey, rice wine, and handicrafts. The return trip includes a boat ride back to My Tho, then a transfer by vehicle to Ho Chi Minh City, with hotel drop-off between 4:30 and 5:00 PM. The tour is limited to a maximum of 10 participants and includes a coconut snack, drinking water, tissues, lunch, air-conditioned transport, boat rides, bike or walking options, and an English-speaking guide.
