This tour begins with a brief introduction onshore before entering the water at Phil Foster Park for about two and a half hours of guided snorkeling. A local SDI Certified dive instructor leads the group, using their extensive knowledge of the area’s marine preserve to guide snorkelers directly to concentrations of tropical reef fish, rays, starfish, octopus, moray eels, and other rare marine animals. Participants will observe a variety of marine life that is uncommon to find on other tours or alone. The guide explains the local ecosystem during the swim, covering the behavior and anatomy of the species encountered. The tour includes use of snorkeling gear, bottled water, snacks, sunscreen or lotion, and towels to dry off afterward. A complimentary video of the snorkeling experience is provided to each guest for lasting memories. The guide’s lifelong experience in West Palm Beach allows them to show a side of the ocean that is usually missed. The tour focuses on active participation and education about the marine environment within the preserve.
