Overview

The Ottawa 2-Hour Express City Bike Tour begins with a 20-minute arrival period for bike fitting and safety instructions at a central location on Sparks Street, near Parliament Hill and the National War Memorial. The tour includes a local guide, bicycle, and helmet, with an option to upgrade to an electric bike upon request. The ride follows scenic and safe waterfront bike paths and quieter neighborhood roads suitable for casual cyclists and families. The first stop is the National War Memorial, where the guide explains its significance. Next, the group cycles to the Rideau Canal National Historic Site, spending about fifteen minutes exploring the canal area. The tour continues through the ByWard Market neighborhood, cycling and stopping for approximately ten minutes to observe the area's character. Riders then visit Rideau Hall, the residence of the Governor General of Canada, for about fifteen minutes to see the gardens and learn about the Canadian political system. The route passes through the historic New Edinburgh neighborhood with a five-minute stop at Rideau Falls to enjoy the view. The group then stops for five minutes at the National Gallery of Canada to see the building and the Spider Sculpture outside. During the ride, there are designated lookouts offering views of Parliament Hill and its buildings. The tour concludes with a ten-minute stop at the Ottawa Locks, where participants can watch boats passing through the lock system. Transportation to and from the meeting point and gratuities are not included.
