High Atlas and Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou

The tour begins around 07:00 in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle traveling south across the High Atlas Mountains. The route passes through the Tizi Ntichka mountain pass at 2,260 meters altitude. There is a visit to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate, locations known for filming movies such as Game of Thrones, Gladiator, and Ibilex. After lunch, the journey continues to the Dades Valley via the Valley of Roses. The group stays overnight in a traditional Moroccan hotel and has a Moroccan evening meal.

Todra Gorges and Merzouga Desert Camp

Following breakfast, the group travels toward the Merzouga desert with a stop at the Todra Gorges, an area surrounded by many palm trees. There is free time to walk and explore the large gorges. Lunch is taken at a local restaurant along the way. Upon arrival at Merzouga, the vehicle is exchanged for camels for a one-hour ride across the dunes to the desert camp. On the way, there is a stop to observe the sunset over the dunes. The night is spent at an equipped desert camp. After dinner, participants may join a drum gathering around the campfire under the night sky.

Sunrise and Return to Marrakech

On the last day, an early morning wake-up allows viewing the sunrise over the dunes of Erg-Chebbi. After breakfast, the group rides camels back to the village of Merzouga. The return drive to Marrakech passes through Tazarine, the Draa Valley, and Agdez, where there is free time for lunch. The route continues by crossing the Tizi N’Tichka pass and Berber villages between Ouarzazate and Marrakech. This marks the end of the 3-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga.
