Ifrane and Azrou Forest

The route passes through Ifrane, a ski resort built in the 1930s by the French to resemble a Swiss village, then continues through the cedar forest in Azrou where monkeys can be seen. The drive crosses the Middle Atlas Mountains.

Merzouga Desert Camp

In the afternoon, arrival is at a traditional Kasbah at the base of the Erg-Chebbi dunes. After a rest and mint tea, the guide and camels are ready to transport guests across the sandy dunes. After about one hour, the desert camp is reached for an overnight stay in a Berber tent. Camels are secured at the camp and mint tea is served. Following dinner, guests spend the night in the Berber tent under the stars.

Rissani Quick Visit

Travel continues along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, an ancient caravan route lined with kasbahs resembling turreted sand castles. There is a brief stop for a quick visit to Rissani.

Todra Gorges and Lunch

The journey proceeds through a central region characterized by river valleys, palm groves, and mud-brick homes under the desert sky. There is a stop for lunch and a walk in Todra Gorges before continuing toward Ouarzazate.

The visit includes the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas Studio located in the town of Ouarzazate.

Ait Ben Haddou and High Atlas Pass

The tour includes a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Kasbah, known for films such as The Gladiator, Babel, and Lawrence of Arabia. The route continues through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, reaching an elevation of 2260 meters, passing small villages along the way.
