This 4-day bus tour from Athens explores major sites from Classical Greece, focusing on key archaeological locations and historic monasteries. The journey includes visits to Epidaurus, known for its ancient theater; Mycenae, the center of the Mycenaean civilization; Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games; Delphi, once considered the center of the world in ancient Greek religion; and Meteora, where 11th-century monasteries stand atop rock pillars. The tour runs about four days and includes overnight accommodation, breakfast, and dinner. An expert guide leads the group throughout, providing commentary and handling entrance fees at all included sites. Transport is provided by an air-conditioned vehicle, and hotel pickup and drop-off are offered from selected hotels in Athens. The guide also supplies entry tickets to the archaeological sites and museums visited. On the first night, accommodation is usually in Nauplia but may occasionally be in Olympia. Participants should follow a dress code for places of worship and some museums, requiring covered knees and shoulders for both men and women; failure to comply may result in denied entry. French-speaking guides are available only on Mondays. Children up to 18 years old must carry a passport or ID to qualify for discounted pricing.
