Overview

This four-day group tour begins in Arusha with an early breakfast before traveling to Tarangire National Park for a full day of game drives. Tarangire is known for large herds of elephants, sometimes up to 300, that dig in dry riverbeds to find water. Other animals commonly seen include wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest, eland, fringe-eared oryx, and gerenuk. The park also supports many predators and hosts some migrating species during the dry season. A picnic lunch is provided during the game drive. The group spends the first night at Sun Bright campsite within Tarangire. On the second day, after breakfast, the tour continues through the fertile highlands where the Iraqw people farm wheat, coffee, and corn. The route passes through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the large Ngorongoro Caldera can be viewed. The journey then proceeds to Serengeti National Park, arriving late in the evening. The group stays at Seronera campsite inside the Serengeti. That evening includes a game drive in central Serengeti to watch the sunset and observe wildlife. Serengeti is Tanzania’s largest park, featuring varied landscapes such as plains, swamps, lakes, savannah, and mountains. Depending on the season, visitors may see the large wildebeest and zebra migration. On the third day, an early morning game drive in Serengeti offers opportunities to see the “Big Five”: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. After the game drive, the tour travels to the Ngorongoro Crater area, where the group stays overnight at Simba campsite on the crater’s edge. The final day starts with sunrise views over the crater rim. Following breakfast, the group descends into Ngorongoro Crater, a volcanic caldera approximately 610 meters deep and covering about 260 square kilometers. The crater is known for its dense population of around 25,000 animals, including wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and over 500 bird species. Occasionally, the endangered black rhino can be seen. After a game drive and lunch inside the crater, the group ascends the crater walls and returns to Arusha for an overnight stay. The safari is conducted as a join-in group tour with a professional guide. Included are four nights of accommodation, game drives, picnic lunches, dinner, airport and departure taxes, and free Wi-Fi available inside the safari jeep throughout the trip. Vegetarian meal options are available upon request at the time of booking.
