Itinerary

1

Cozumel Reef and Turtle Sanctuary

The tour includes visits to several reef sites around Cozumel, featuring a green turtle sanctuary where snorkeling among the turtles in their natural environment is possible. The itinerary also covers 'El Cielo' ('Heaven'), a natural starfish sanctuary with numerous red and orange starfish on white sand. Near the end, the group visits Cielito ('Little Heaven'), a natural sandbank with clear water, where guests can relax and have snacks and drinks before returning to port at sunset. Guests should arrive at least 30 minutes before departure, noting that all times are in Cozumel local time, which may differ from cruise ship timezones. Sunscreen should not be applied immediately before or during the tour; only 'reef safe' or 'coral safe' sunscreens are allowed, though they are not completely harmless to aquatic life. To avoid slippery surfaces on boats, wearing a long sleeve rash vest and hat is recommended.
