Overview
The Pro Dive Cairns 5-day PADI “Open Water” course combines the adventure of learning to scuba dive with the excitement of exploring the spectacular beauty of the Great Barrier Reef. This 5-day adventure consists of 2 days of theory and pool training, then 3 days and 2 nights on the Outer Great Barrier Reef, staying on one of Pro Dive Cairns’ premium liveaboard dive boats. Included in the course are 9 dives (4 training and 5 recreational, including a guided night dive) on a variety of 19 exclusive Outer Reef sites. There’s also plenty of time to snorkel and relax onboard.

Day 1 & 2: Learn the basics of scuba diving - both theory and pool (heated) lessons at our Training Centre
Day 3, 4 & 5: Spend 3 days/2Nights on the Outer Barrier Reef on our premium liveaboard dive boats. Includes 9 dives (4 training & 5 recreational including a guided night dive)
Chinese language courses commence on Wednesday. Japanese-language courses commence on Thursday. English is available every day except Sunday

Participants must be aged 13+ to participate in this activity
It is a dive course requirement that you be able to swim 200 metres or snorkel 300 metres and tread water/float for 10 minutes Do not fly within 24 hours of diving Digital underwater cameras are available for hire onboard our dive boats for a cost of AUD40 per dive. Please note you will not be able to use the underwater camera until you are a certified diver Prior to commencing your Learn to Dive Course you are required to complete the self-assessment Entry Level Student Dive Medical Declaration Surcharge: Due to significant volatility in fuel supply and operational costs, a surcharge will apply and be collected at check-in on the day of travel (Per person - $25 AUD).
