This 3-day tour covers two active volcanoes in East Java: Mt. Bromo and Mt. Ijen. The tour begins in Surabaya with private transportation and includes two nights of accommodation - one night at Lava View Hotel in Cemara Lawang village near Mt. Bromo, and one night at Ijen View Hotel in Bondowoso city. The tour uses a 4WD jeep for the Mt. Bromo visit and includes an English-speaking guide if the group has four or more participants. Each morning starts early to see the volcanic landscapes at their best. At Mt. Bromo, travelers will explore the grey volcanic terrain. At Mt. Ijen, the tour visits the crater lake known for its acidic green-blue water and the sulphur miners working from early morning until around noon. The tour includes gas masks and a local guide for the blue fire visit at Ijen. Breakfast, mineral water each day, coffee breaks at Kingkong Hill and Paltuding, fresh seasonal fruit, and all fees and taxes are included. The vehicle has air conditioning, and pick-up service from Surabaya is provided. Lunch and dinner are not included, and horse riding at Mt. Bromo is optional. After the tour, participants are dropped off in Ketapang/Banyuwangi or can return to Surabaya with an additional fee for drop-off there. The total duration is about 72 hours.
