Overview

This guided tour lasts about 2 to 3 hours and includes skip-the-line entry to the Alhambra fortress and the Generalife gardens in Granada. The tour starts at the My Top Tour Tickets Office on Paseo de la Sabica nº32, near Hotel Guadalupe. From there, you visit the Alhambra, a palatine city on Sabica hill known for its reddish clay walls. The guide explains its history as a royal residence and fortress containing palaces, gardens, and Christian-era buildings like Charles V’s palace and Santa Maria church. Next, you explore the Palace of Carlos V, a Renaissance building with a distinctive square layout and circular courtyard designed by Pedro Machuca. Then you visit the Generalife, the former rural villa and gardens used by Muslim kings as a retreat, known as "The Architect's Garden." Finally, the tour includes the Alcazaba, the oldest part of the Alhambra, originally a fortified citadel and royal residence with a later military role. The tour includes an official guide and tickets covering the Generalife Palace, gardens, and Alcazaba if selected. Entry to the Nasrid Palaces is not included. All taxes and fees are covered, but gratuities and hotel transfers are not provided.
