Overview

This private day trip lasts about 7 to 8 hours and covers key sites along the Amalfi Coast plus Pompeii. Travel in a modern air-conditioned minivan with an English-speaking driver-guide who will provide local tips and keep the schedule flexible according to your preferences. Bottled water is included. The tour begins with a drive along the Amalfi Coast, where you can stop for photos and enjoy free time to explore seaside towns, walk along the coast, shop, or try local food and drinks such as Neapolitan pizza. The journey follows one of Europe’s most scenic coastal roads, offering panoramic views of the Mediterranean. Next you visit Sorrento, a seaside town perched above the Bay of Naples. Here you have about two hours to walk the historic center, browse artisan shops and boutiques, enjoy views over the Gulf, or sample local specialties like gelato and limoncello. After Sorrento, the tour continues to the Archaeological Park of Pompeii. You have two hours to walk through the extensive ruins, including Roman streets, houses, temples, baths, and theaters preserved since the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. The tour can include skip-the-line tickets and a licensed archaeological guide upon request, though entrance fees and guided tours are not included by default. The final stop is Positano, where one hour of free time lets you explore the colorful cliffside village, walk narrow streets lined with shops, relax by the beach, or enjoy coffee with sea views. The driver-guide will assist throughout the day but you have time to explore independently at each stop. Lunch, entrance fees, gratuities, alcoholic drinks, and guided tours of Pompeii are not included in the price.
