Overview

The Electric Trike Tour of Prague with Live Guide lasts between one and three hours, depending on the chosen option. The tour begins at the Prague-Segway-Tours.com office, where participants register, receive safety helmets in all sizes, and take part in a safety training session including a supervised test ride to ensure comfort with the electric trike. The trike is a three-wheeled electric scooter that does not require a driver's license and has a maximum speed of 25 km/h (about 16 mph). Groups larger than eight scooters are accompanied by two guides for safety. The route covers several well-known Prague sights and viewpoints. It includes a stop at Maltezske namesti square for training, then continues to Kampa Island near Charles Bridge, where riders pass under the bridge and stop for photos at a nearby viewpoint. The tour passes the courtyard of the Franz Kafka Museum, where the peeing boy statue can be seen, and the Rudolfinum Philharmonic Orchestra building, both viewed from outside. Riders visit Letna Park and the Metronome, a former Joseph Stalin monument, and see Prague Castle from various outside viewpoints without entering. The tour also includes stops at Petrin Park and Strahov Monastery, which offers panoramic views of the city. The oldest brewery in Prague, Strahov Monastery Brewery, is visited on longer tours. Some stops, such as the John Lennon Wall, Hradcany, and several others, are available only on private tours with tailor-made itineraries. The tour does not include entrance fees to any paid sites. Unlimited tea, coffee, and water are available at the office before and after the tour. In case of light rain, raincoats are provided and the tour continues; severe weather may result in rescheduling or cancellation with a refund. Children under 18 can ride as passengers only, and special arrangements are available for children aged one to six with a child seat on a classic electric bike. The maximum driver age is 69, and the maximum passenger age is 75. The maximum payload per trike is 195 kg. Participants must be capable of safely operating the vehicle with both hands and must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
