The ride follows safe, quiet, and wide bike paths with little traffic. The tour begins by cycling through the countryside, passing typical Dutch houses, forts, and World War II remains, with an optional stop at a Jewish cemetery for those who request it. Participants visit three windmills: Molen de Vriendschap, open on Saturdays where the guide explains its workings; De Onrust in Muiderberg, known for its picturesque setting; and another windmill stop included in the route. The tour includes a stop at Muiderslot, a medieval castle built in 1275, where cyclists pause for photos but do not enter. The route continues to Weesp, where riders see canals, the Amsterdam defence line (a UNESCO World Heritage site), the skinny bridge, houseboats, water villas, and countryside farms with cattle, sheep, goats, horses, and birds. In Muiden, there is a break at Ome Ko, a well-known brown café, where participants can enjoy coffee or beer. Afterward, there is a photo stop again at Muiderslot. The tour also includes a visit to a cheese farm where fresh unpasteurized milk is served directly from the cow, and participants have the option to taste and purchase cheese. Bike saddle gel covers are provided to improve comfort during the ride. The tour is led by an Amsterdam-born guide fluent in English and also able to communicate in German, Spanish, and Portuguese. Bike rental is not included and must be paid in cash to the guide. The tour operates in all weather conditions, with ponchos provided if needed.
