Overview

This full-day bus tour from Mendoza follows National Route 7 into the Andes mountains. The trip begins with a stop at Potrerillos Dam, located about 70 kilometers from Mendoza, where you can enjoy the mountain scenery and peaceful views. Next is Uspallata Valley, where you have free time to explore. The tour continues to Los Penitentes ski center, also with free time to visit. The journey then reaches Puente del Inca, a natural rock bridge over the Las Cuevas River, where you will spend about 45 minutes. After that, the bus heads to Aconcagua Park, home to Cerro Aconcagua, which rises to 6960.8 meters above sea level and is the highest peak in the southern and western hemispheres. You will spend around half an hour here. In summer, the route includes a visit to the Cristo Redentor de los Andes monument, marking the Argentina-Chile border. The final stop is Las Cuevas, the last town before Chile, where you have two hours of free time for lunch (not included). The tour lasts about 10 to 12 hours and includes hotel pickup and drop-off, transport in an air-conditioned minivan, and a bilingual local guide.
