This full-day bus tour from Barcelona covers three countries with two English-speaking guides for safety and ease. You begin with a hotel or apartment pickup in Barcelona or Sitges, or from the Barcelona cruise port. Travel in a spacious, air-conditioned Renault Traffic minivan equipped with blankets and cushions. The tour passes Montserrat mountain, where you see the monastery and basilica on the slopes, then continues through the Pre-Pyrenees range alongside the Baells reservoir, which supplies Barcelona's water. Breakfast is served near the Cerdanya valley or at the Baells reservoir. Crossing into France at Bourg-Madame, the route includes photo stops and a brief walk in the village, with optional additional breaks in Enveitg if time and weather allow. The journey continues through the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park via a 5-km tunnel in the Serra de Moixeró mountains, then ascends the Pyrenees passes Porte-Puymorens and Porta into Andorra. At the high-altitude border, there may be a stop to get the Andorra tourist passport stamp. In Andorra, the tour includes a walk in Pas de la Casa, the oldest and largest ski village, with views of ski slopes and shopping areas popular with French tourists. There’s a stop at Port d'Envalira, the highest mountain pass in the Pyrenees, overlooking the Grandvalira ski area and surrounding peaks. On the descent, several short stops offer photo opportunities, souvenir shopping, and visits to historic churches, adjusted to your interests and the weather. A seasonal waterfall is also passed. Lunch is served at a family-run ski lodge restaurant in Canillo, offering Mediterranean dishes including vegetarian options and grilled meats. After lunch, the tour visits the Sanctuary of Meritxell, home to Andorra’s patron saint and part of the Marian Route linking sanctuaries in Spain and France. A brief photo stop follows at Andorra la Vella’s viewpoint before a guided walking tour of the capital. This includes the main shopping street, a photo spot by the Valira river, a Salvador Dali sculpture, and the medieval quarter with the St. Esteve church and parliament buildings. The return trip crosses back into Spain, with restroom stops as needed near La Seu d'Urgell. Guests can relax or nap during the drive, wrapped in blankets and cushions. The guides remain available to share information about the area's history and culture. The entire tour lasts about 11 hours and includes bottled water, transport, two guides, and hotel pickup and drop-off.
