Overview

This full-day bus tour lasts about 11 and a half hours and begins with hotel pickup between 6 and 6:30 am within Sedona and the Village of Oak Creek city limits. The trip first passes through Oak Creek Canyon, a 16-mile gorge with red rock cliffs, streams, and waterfalls. The tour then stops at Horseshoe Bend, where guests walk about three-quarters of a mile to a viewpoint over a sharp bend in the Colorado River. This site is located just outside Page, Arizona, four miles south of Glen Canyon Dam. After Horseshoe Bend, the group takes a guided 90-minute walk through Upper Antelope Canyon, a narrow slot canyon carved about 120 feet deep over thousands of years. Next, there is a brief 20-minute stop at the Glen Canyon Dam Overlook for scenic views. The tour continues with a 15-minute break at the historic Cameron Trading Post. Along the route, there is also a view of the San Francisco Peaks. Bottled water is provided, but lunch is not included, so participants should plan to eat on their own. Walking on uneven, unpaved terrain is required during the canyon visit. Children under 8 must have their own car seat or booster as required by Arizona law.
