This tour lasts about three and a half hours and begins with a ride in an air-conditioned vehicle to the west coast of Antigua near Five Islands Village. Participants share a two-seater, 11-foot inflatable motorboat called a Reef Rider. The boat is driven by the guests themselves, allowing close access to Cades Reef. Snorkeling gear including mask, fins, and snorkel is provided to explore the clear Caribbean waters. The small size of the boat lets guests moor inside the reef lagoon to observe marine life such as stingrays, lobster, parrotfish, surgeonfish, wrasse, and coral formations. Depending on the time of day, turtles might also be seen swimming in the lagoon. The price is based on two people sharing one boat, and the tour includes transport, snorkeling equipment, and the self-drive boat experience. Gratuities are not included.
