Overview

This 5-6 hour boat tour explores the North Sound of Antigua, home to 22 uninhabited offshore islands. The tour includes two snorkeling sessions, with a lesson available for beginners. The first stop is Great Bird Island, where guests can swim, snorkel, birdwatch, and enjoy a local lunch provided on board. Next, the boat heads to Hell's Gate Island for another snorkeling opportunity or a climb through a cave-like passage that leads to a natural bridge with views of the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other. At Long Bay, also called Jumby Bay Island, the crew presents a 10-minute talk about the island's turtle conservation project, active for over 30 years. The journey also passes Guiana Island, where the guide gives a brief talk on the island's mangrove system, which serves as a nursery for many juvenile fish and sea creatures. Included in the tour are carbonated and alcoholic beverages, bottled water, snacks, snorkeling gear, lunch, and on-board restrooms. This full-day boat excursion covers ecosystems and history across the protected islands in Antigua's North Sound.
