Overview

This 4.5-hour Outback Safari Jeep Tour explores Aruba’s natural and coastal areas with visits to key sites. The tour begins with pickup and is led by a local guide who provides information throughout the trip. The first stop is Arikok National Park, which covers about 20 percent of the island. Visitors spend around 30 minutes exploring trails that highlight Aruba’s geology and natural environment. Next, the tour continues to the Conchi Natural Pool, also called Cura di Tortuga, a small pool surrounded by volcanic rock within Arikok National Park. Visitors spend about 30 minutes here observing ocean waves breaking over the rocks. The tour then visits the California Lighthouse on Aruba’s northwestern tip. The lighthouse stands 30 meters tall and offers wide views of the island and ocean. Following this, the group stops at the Alto Vista Chapel, a small yellow Catholic chapel built in 1952 on the site of an original 1750 chapel, with about 15 minutes at the site. The Bushiribana Ruins, remains of a 19th-century gold mill with sea views, are next, with a 20-minute stop. The tour passes Shark Bay, a beach popular for surfing, and visits Wariruri Beach, a 60 by 60 meter sandy cove known for surfing but unsafe for swimming due to strong currents, spending about 20 minutes there. Natural formations visited include the Tripod Bridge (also called Three Bridges), a coral limestone formation resembling a tripod, with a 20-minute stop, and the Natural Bridge ruins, a former limestone arch shaped by ocean and wind, with about 20 minutes at the site. The tour also includes visits to Black Stone Beach, unique for its black sand and sharp black stones, Andicuri Beach, a limestone-bordered beach favored for bodyboarding and kitesurfing where the group stays about 30 minutes, and the Ayo Rock Formations near Ayo village along with the Casibari Boulders inland toward Oranjestad. Philip's Animal Garden, a wildlife sanctuary housing over 60 rescued species, is included with a 20-minute visit; admission is free. Throughout the safari, bottled water and a bandana to reduce debris exposure are provided. Pickup and drop-off are included in the service.
