[Katsuoji Temple] Katsuoji Temple, also known as "Win-Luck Temple" and "Win-Luck Daruma Temple," is one of the most historically significant temples in the Kansai region. It is famous for praying for victory and good fortune, and is renowned as a temple that brings success in all aspects of life, including exams, disaster relief, healing illnesses, sports, and career. Visitors can purchase a blank Daruma doll, paint its right eye after making a wish, and then bring it back to paint the left eye once the wish is fulfilled. [Atago Nenbutsu-ji Temple] No tours on Wednesdays and Saturdays (regular holidays) At Atago Nenbutsu-ji Temple, 1200 Rakan stone statues stand quietly. These statues have rich expressions and diverse styles; some hold cats, others smile, and each one is unique. In addition, the temple houses a touchable statue of Kannon Bodhisattva, a Jizo Bodhisattva statue said to prevent fires and ensure longevity, and the "Three Treasures Bell" representing different Buddhist principles. [Arashiyama] After the Atago Nenbutsu-ji Temple tour, you can take the vehicle to the vicinity of Arashiyama Togetsukyo Bridge, or walk there independently. The following are some recommended sightseeing spots in order of location. It takes about 1 hour to walk to Togetsukyo Bridge, and you can freely choose to visit 2-4 of these spots.
