Overview

The tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel, Airbnb, or port in Athens by a private vehicle and driver. The driver takes you on a panoramic night drive through the city, passing illuminated monuments such as Hadrian's Arch and the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Depending on the booking option, you will visit the Acropolis, where you can walk around the hill and see landmarks including the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Propylaea gateway, the Erechtheion, and the Parthenon. The Acropolis visit lasts about 30 minutes. After the Acropolis, the tour continues with stops at several important sites, including the Panathenaic Stadium where the first modern Olympic Games took place, and a drive up Mount Lycabettus, Athens' highest hill, for a 15-minute panoramic view of the city from the Acropolis to the Aegean Sea. You will also pass by the Academy of Athens, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the National Library of Greece, and the Hellenic Parliament building overlooking Syntagma Square. At the Parliament, there is a 10-minute stop to watch the changing of the guard at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier. The tour concludes with a one-hour dinner arranged either under the Acropolis or at a seafood tavern in Mikrolimano, depending on your preference and prior discussion with the driver. Bottled water is provided throughout the four-hour private tour. A licensed guide can be added for an extra fee, but the driver is not authorized to conduct site tours. Hotel or port pickup and drop-off are included.
