Overview

This seven-hour day trip from Krakow includes round-trip transport by air-conditioned minibus or coach to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum. Guests may select a guided tour led by a licensed museum guide or opt for a self-guided visit. The tour starts with pickup at Pawia 18b, Kiss and Ride bus stop, followed by about a 90-minute drive to the Auschwitz-Birkenau site near the town of Oświęcim. Upon arrival, there is a short break during which visitors receive informational booklets and instructions for the self-guided option. The self-guided visit allows exploration of the largest Nazi extermination camp on your own, including prisoner barracks and gas chamber ruins, with at least 90 minutes dedicated to Birkenau. For those on the guided tour, the leader provides orientation before entering Auschwitz I, where the group spends up to two hours at the museum viewing permanent exhibitions that document the camp’s history. The trip ends with a 90-minute return journey to Krakow, passing landmarks along the route, finishing at the original pickup point. The tour is a respectful visit to the original camp grounds and memorials, with all necessary entrance tickets included for the guided option.
