Overview

This full-day bus tour from Calgary covers several well-known sites in the Canadian Rockies over about 10 hours. The day includes stops at Banff Avenue, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Emerald Lake, Natural Bridge, and Johnston Canyon. The tour begins with a visit to Banff Avenue, the main street in Banff town, where you can see local shops, cafes, and galleries against the mountain backdrop. Next is Lake Louise, where there is about an hour to admire the lake’s distinctive turquoise water and the Fairmont Chateau nearby. The tour continues to Moraine Lake (open June 1 to October 14), famous for its bright blue waters and views of the Valley of the Ten Peaks. There is also a lunch stop in Lake Louise Village. Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park is visited next, where you can walk along the shoreline and photograph the wooden bridge over the lake’s deep green water. After that, the group stops at Natural Bridge, a limestone arch formed by the Kicking Horse River. The final outdoor stop is Johnston Canyon, where guests follow elevated catwalks alongside waterfalls and a turquoise creek. In winter, the canyon features frozen falls and ice formations. The tour is conducted in an air-conditioned vehicle and includes bottled water. Admission to Moraine Lake is included only between June 1 and October 14. Food and travel insurance are not included.
