Overview

This 8 to 9-hour guided tour of Bangalore covers the city’s development through different ages, showing how it evolved from a historic settlement to a modern metropolis. The tour begins with hotel pickup from the central Bengaluru area in an air-conditioned car or minivan. The first stop is a choice between the ISKCON Temple or the Bull Temple. At the Bull Temple, visitors enter the inner shrine and receive a priest’s blessing. The tour then continues to Lalbagh Botanical Garden, where guests spend about one and a half hours exploring its collection of tropical and rare trees and the 1889 Glass House. Next, the group visits Bangalore Fort, examining its granite walls and teakwood doors. Following this, the tour proceeds to KR Market, a busy market known for fresh produce and local goods. The exterior of Bangalore Palace is viewed next, highlighting its English-style architecture; if the palace is closed on Mondays, Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace is visited instead. The tour also includes stops at Vidhana Soudha and Attara Kacheri, where visitors learn about the Karnataka legislature and the High Court’s Greco-Roman design. Lunch is served at the century-old MTR restaurant, offering approximately 20 South Indian vegetarian dishes; if MTR is closed on Mondays, an alternate restaurant is arranged. All entry fees, bottled water, and GST are included. The guide remains with the group throughout the entire tour. Hotel drop-off in central Bengaluru concludes the day.
