Overview

The tour starts with a motorboat ride through Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, traveling along the 38-kilometer canal built 150 years ago by King Rama IV. Visitors can see vendors selling fruits, vegetables, and local foods like mango sticky rice and coconut ice cream. After about 75 minutes at the market, the tour moves to a coconut sugar farm where guests watch how farmers harvest coconut flowers, collect nectar, and turn it into coconut sugar and nectar drinks. There is also a demonstration of squeezing coconut milk using traditional wooden equipment. Next, the tour visits salt fields in Samut Sakhon province. Here, salt farmers use local methods to evaporate seawater by rotating it with wind and sunlight exposure until salt piles form. Guests can touch the salt and take photos at this site along Highway 35. The final market stop is the Mae Klong Railway Market, known for its unusual setup where vendors clear their stalls quickly when a train passes through the tracks. Visitors can witness this event during the hour spent at the market. Private tour guests have the option to ride a local train to Mae Klong station, seeing the market from the train and interacting with other tourists. At the end of the tour, group guests are dropped off at MBK Center, a large shopping mall connected to the BTS National Stadium station, allowing easy access back to the hotel by skytrain. Private tour guests are taken directly to their hotel or can request to be dropped at MBK Center instead. The entire trip lasts about seven hours. Options include traveling by a standard vehicle or a luxury private van, both with roundtrip hotel transfers and a train ride where included. A licensed guide fluent in your language is provided. The motorboat ride and travel accident insurance are included, while lunch and hotel pickup from outside downtown Bangkok are not.
