Overview

- Baxianshan National Forest Recreation Area is a paradise for mountain birds, with diverse and easy short trails where you can explore the beautiful Shiwen Creek, cherry blossom forest, tung tree forest, and bamboo forest. You can also climb to the top of the "Seven Heroes of Guguan". - Rich in natural ecological resources and one of Taiwan's three major forest areas during the Japanese occupation, it has a rich forestry culture and is the best place to experience nature during holidays. - The area has 3 forest bathing trails: one along the Shiwen Creek to the upper reaches; one following the downhill steps to the dam area; and the third through forest paths and Moso bamboo forests to the Japanese shrine and elementary school ruins.

Children aged 0-2 must be accompanied by a paying adult Children aged 0-2 can enter free of charge This activity is free for people with reduced mobility, but they must be accompanied by an adult. Half-price tickets are available for military personnel and police officers with ID, students aged 7-12, and Taichung citizens. Half-price/Discount tickets can be purchased on-site with valid photo identification.
