At iFLY Basingstoke, participants take part in an indoor skydiving experience inside an 800-horsepower vertical wind tunnel that produces a wall-to-wall cushion of air used by professional skydivers. No prior experience is needed, and most people can take part. The session lasts about 90 minutes in total. Upon arrival, participants must check in at least 45 minutes before their scheduled flight time to prepare. Full equipment is provided, including a flight suit, helmet, and goggles. Each person flies twice, one-on-one with a certified instructor. The wind speed gradually increases until it reaches between 130 and 175 mph, allowing participants to float safely inside the tunnel. The airflow keeps them stable while the instructor guides each flight. The combined free-fall time of the two flights equals that of three tandem skydives from 12,000 feet. After completing both flights, participants receive a certificate recognizing their achievement. Each session can include up to 13 people, but flights are conducted individually with an instructor.

You may fly if you: - Weigh less than 18 stone and 7 pounds / 117kg (contact iFLY directly if you weigh more than this) - Are not pregnant - Have not previously dislocated your shoulder - Are not under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs - Are not wearing a hard cast. It is vital that you arrive for check-in at least 45mins prior to your booked flight time. So, if you're booked flight time is 3pm, you should arrive no later than 2.15pm. This is so that we can get you geared up, ready for your flight time. iFLY operates a manifest in the same way you would expect an airline to work; it is therefore advised you arrive early, leaving plenty of time for any unexpected delays.
