About a thousand years ago, the Kikuchi clan was a powerful and renowned family in Kyushu. From the late Heian period to the Muromachi period, they served as loyal retainers to the imperial court for generations, and are remembered as a family who, even when faced with unfavorable circumstances, never wavered in their beliefs and steadfastly pursued their aspirations. Please enjoy the armor-wearing experience, imagining yourself as a high-minded Kikuchi clan warrior. After putting on the armor, feel free to take photos and stroll around. For photo opportunities, we have prepared a camp curtain indoors. If the weather is good, you can also take photos in the park. The spot where you can take pictures with the trees at the foot of Kikuchi Shrine in the background feels like a time slip into ancient times. Please enjoy the samurai experience to your heart's content. After the fitting, a staff member will take photos. When you return, we will present you with all the photo data and one of your favorite photos in a photo frame. After the experience, please use the footbath teahouse and enjoy a relaxing footbath. The footbath teahouse offers Kikuchi green tea or Japanese black tea, Kikuchi sweets, and a rental towel for the footbath, all provided in a bamboo basket. Socks are provided during the experience. You can take them home when you leave. The person in charge of fitting may be male or female. You can wear your own shoes, but you can wear straw sandals if you wish. The armor comes in fixed sizes. It may not be possible to fit it properly depending on your physique. A replica sword will be prepared upon request. The total weight of the armor is approximately 20 kg.
