This four-hour surf lesson takes place at three different beaches along the Algarvian west coast near Lagos: Arrifana, Amoreira, and Monte Clerigo. These locations provide suitable wave conditions for beginners to practice surfing. The lesson starts with an introduction to surf theory, covering wave behavior, tides, currents, and basic surf equipment. Certified instructors with ISA or FPS licenses lead the course and provide guidance throughout the session. Participants use modern soft surfboards designed for safety, along with long neoprene wetsuits from Ocean and Earth that offer flexibility and warmth. Transportation from the surf school’s headquarters to the beach is included, but bottled water, snacks, and hotel pickup are not provided.

Meeting point
We will meet at the Surf Camp Algarve Watersport. Just walk into the office and get registered there. Please note that meeting times are subject to change due to always-changing wave and tide conditions and will only be announced the day before the lesson, usually around 6 PM.
