Overview

This private full-day tour in Beijing lasts about eight hours and includes visits to three significant landmarks. The day starts with hotel pickup and a 30-minute visit to Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world, where guests can walk around and take photos. Next, the tour continues with a guided three-hour walk through the Forbidden City, also called the Palace Museum, located in central Beijing. This former imperial palace housed 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties from 1368 to 1911 and features traditional Chinese architecture. Guests learn about the history and stories of the palace during the visit. Afterward, a local Chinese restaurant provides lunch. The afternoon is spent at the Summer Palace, China’s largest and best-preserved royal park. Visitors explore the gardens and cultural sites for about two hours. From April 1 to October 30, a boat ride on Kunming Lake is included, allowing guests to visit the south-facing island and exit from a different location. Entrance tickets, private transfers with a driver, hotel pickup and drop-off, lunch, and an English or other language guide are all included in the tour. Additional options include purchasing entrance tickets to the Forbidden City or Summer Palace independently, with QR codes provided in advance if needed.
