The tour begins on foot at the Peace Wall in West Belfast, where participants walk both sides of the wall between Falls and Shankill Roads. Two guides, one a Republican ex-political prisoner and the other a Loyalist ex-political prisoner, lead the tour and share their personal experiences from their time in Northern Ireland prisons. The guides explain the historical and social context behind the murals and landmarks along the route.
