This is a 5-hour day trip starting from Belize City with pickup from your hotel or port. The tour begins with a 35-minute boat ride from Belize port along mangrove islands to Caye Caulker, the second largest island in Belize. There is a 15-minute stop on Caye Caulker to use the restroom and change clothes. Then, a short 5-minute boat ride takes you to the Belize Barrier Reef, the largest living reef and second largest coral reef in the world. You will snorkel for about 45 minutes at Coral Garden, which features large Elk Horn corals and a variety of other coral types including Brown and Purple Sea Fans, Orange Stag Horn, Finger Corals, and Yellow Tube Sponges. The water depth is between 8 and 12 feet, making it accessible for snorkelers. After that, there is a 30-minute snorkeling session in Sting Ray Alley, where you can see Nurse Sharks and Sting Rays. Snacks and alcoholic beverages such as Rum Punch are provided by the guide on the return boat ride.
