The trip includes a visit to Eagle’s Nest (Kehlsteinhaus), a mountaintop lodge built as a birthday gift for Hitler, located 6,148 feet (1,834 meters) above sea level on Mt. Kehlstein. Visitors reach the summit by a special bus from Obersalzberg, then enter a tunnel and elevator to access the top, once used as a high command post.
