Overview

This 2.5-hour night snorkeling tour takes place off the coast of Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. The tour begins before sunset, allowing participants to watch the sun set over the ocean. After dark, guests enter deep waters to snorkel with manta rays, attracted by mobile underwater lights operated by professional "manta safari" guides. These lights create a glow that draws the manta rays close, providing a chance to see them in their natural nighttime environment. The boat has an observation deck with open space for watching the manta rays from above the water. All necessary snorkel equipment is included, such as wetsuits and swimming noodles, along with bottled water and snacks. Hotel pickup and drop-off are not included. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and those under five years old must bring their own life vests. Participants must know how to swim. Departure times vary seasonally and are confirmed 24 hours before the tour.
