Overview

The Black Forest in Germany is known for its dense woods and traditional crafts, while Rhine Falls in Switzerland is Europe’s largest waterfall with a 75-foot drop. This full-day bus tour from Zurich lasts about seven hours. It begins with a pickup at the bus parking on Sihlquai in central Zurich. The coach heads north, crossing into southern Germany through scenic areas including Lake Schluchsee and the Black Forest’s spruce forests. The first stop is Titisee-Neustadt, a town on Lake Titisee. Visitors spend about two hours here. The tour includes a visit to the Drubba watchmaker showroom to watch German cuckoo clocks being made. After this, there is free time to walk around the lake, take an optional boat ride, or visit a café. Food and activities here are not included. Next, the coach moves south through the spruce forests of Lenzkirch, returning toward Switzerland. The final stop is Rhine Falls, where the group spends about 45 to 50 minutes near the waterfall. Guests can walk around the area, take photos, and view the water as it falls 23 meters. There is an optional boat ride at Rhine Falls that is not included. The tour ends with a return to Zurich city center in the evening. Included in the tour are a local guide, air-conditioned transport, and entry to the Drubba Watch Showroom. Hotel pickup, food, drinks, gratuities, and the boat ride at Rhine Falls are not included. A valid passport is required for border crossing. Note that in October the itinerary may be adjusted to visit Rhine Falls before the Black Forest.
