Overview

This is a 10-hour small-group tour from Sydney to the Blue Mountains with a local expert guide who has over 25 years of experience. The tour starts with a 20-minute stop at the Three Sisters lookout in Katoomba, where the cultural significance of the site to Aboriginal people is explained. Next, the group spends about one hour at Scenic World. Entry includes all rides: the Scenic Railway, which has a 52-degree incline and is the steepest passenger railway in the world; the Scenic Skyway, a glass-floor cable car suspended 270 metres above the valley; and the Scenic Cableway, a 545-metre descent into the Jamison Valley. After the rides, participants walk along a guided rainforest boardwalk through 2.4 kilometres of forest. After Scenic World, there is a 35-minute lunch break with a sit-down meal offering vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. The tour then continues for about two hours visiting various lookouts around the Blue Mountains with commentary from the guide. Following this, there is a one-hour visit to either Featherdale Wildlife Park or Sydney Zoo, depending on the operator’s choice. At the wildlife park, visitors can see kangaroos, koalas, and other Australian animals. The day ends with a local ferry ride on the Parramatta River back to Sydney Harbour, passing under the Harbour Bridge and arriving at Circular Quay around 5 pm. An optional Sydney sightseeing package is available on a different day, lasting about four hours. This half-day small-group tour operates only on Mondays or Fridays and includes visits to Sydney landmarks such as the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, The Rocks with a 45-minute walking tour, Bondi Beach, and other areas like Chinatown and Paddington, all with live commentary from a local guide.
