This nine-hour boat trip departs from Lava beach, the port of Ajaccio, or the port of Porticcio in Corsica. The route sails through the Gulf of Porto, approaching the island of Gargalo, which is marked by a Genoese tower and serves as the entrance to the Scandola Nature Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The boat continues along the coast, passing the caves of Capo Rosso. At Scandola, there is a swimming break for passengers to cool off in the water. The tour then proceeds to the creeks of Piana, known for their rocky formations along the coastline. On the return journey, the boat stops at Girolata, a small Corsican village accessible only by sea or on foot. Passengers may choose to have lunch at the restaurant in the village square; lunch is not included in the tour price. Another swimming break is offered on the way back to explore the seabed within the Natura 2000 protected reserve. Private transportation to the departure point is included if selected. This tour is not available for travelers under six years old.
