Overview

This 3-hour boat tour starts in Kotor with a cruise around Kotor Bay. The first stop is the small artificial island Our Lady of the Rocks, where you disembark to visit the church and museum. The skipper shares information about the island and the old town of Perast. After that, the boat continues sightseeing across Tivat Bay and Herceg Novi. The next stop is the old submarine base near the village of Rose. This base consists of three tunnels built by the Yugoslav army after World War II; all tunnels end in dead ends. The tour then passes slowly by Mamula Island, where the skipper explains its use as a prison and concentration camp during the First and Second World Wars. Today, Mamula Fortress is a high-end hotel. The final stop is the Blue Cave on the Lustica Peninsula at the entrance to Kotor Bay. The boat stops here so you can swim and refresh in the cave’s blue waters. The Blue Cave is accessible only by boat or kayak and is known for the bright blue light that filters through the water from an underwater opening. Bottled water and snorkeling equipment are included on the tour.
