Overview

Purnululu National Park in Australia features distinctive sandstone formations including the Bungle Bungle Range and Cathedral Gorge. Bungle Bungle Range

Upon landing at the airstrip, guests meet their guide and board an air-conditioned 4WD for a short drive to the walking trailhead. The 3-kilometer moderate walk covers Piccaninny Creek and the beehive-shaped sandstone domes. The walk ends at Cathedral Gorge where guests enjoy their picnic lunch in the shade. The guide identifies local flora and fauna throughout the walk.

This section is part of the 3-kilometer walk and features the large, natural Cathedral Gorge formation. Guests rest here for lunch carried in cooler bags before returning to the vehicle.
