by Sunrider Adventure Tours
This 2.5-hour whale watching lunch cruise departs from the marina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, aboard a new 100-foot SunRider catamaran. Shortly after leaving the marina, the captain begins searching for humpback and gray whales that visit the warm waters of Los Cabos each year. The tour has a 90% success rate of spotting whales based on 30 years of operation. Guests can watch the whales from the boat while enjoying a served lunch and unlimited drinks from an open bar. The vessel is designed to provide a safe and comfortable environment for observing whales in their natural habitat. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and the minimum drinking age is 18 years. Souvenir photos are available for purchase, but gratuities, hotel pickup and drop-off, and admission fees are not included. If the boat changes, guests will be informed at least 12 hours in advance.
El Arco and Whale Watching
The tour starts as the captain welcomes passengers aboard and offers a welcome drink. The boat then proceeds to Cabo's well-known landmark, El Arco, allowing time for photos. Afterward, the crew provides information about whale species, their behavior, and how to observe them respectfully. Guests can watch and photograph the whales with the natural scenery as a backdrop. Following the whale watching, a freshly prepared brunch is served onboard, and the crew hosts a show while the dance floor is open for guests on the return trip to the marina.
