Overview

Cadiz, one of the oldest cities in Western Europe, dates back over 3,000 years to its founding by the Phoenicians in 1100 B.C. The city is divided into the Old Town, known for its historic sites, and the New Town with modern buildings. This day trip from Seville lasts about 9 to 10 hours and includes stops in both Cadiz and Jerez de la Frontera. In Jerez, the tour visits the city center and one of its wineries, where wine tasting is available if selected. Jerez is known for its Arabic heritage and sherry wine production. There is also an option to attend an equestrian show. Afterward, the tour continues to Cadiz, where guests can explore the city’s ancient streets, including Plaza De San Juan De Dios, surrounded by the town hall and the San Juan de Dios church. The walk through El Pópulo, a former medieval citadel with narrow streets, reveals the old neighborhood’s character. The tour also includes a visit to the Catedral de Cadiz, known as the new cathedral; note that tickets for entry are not included. The trip includes pickup and drop-off at three designated points in Seville and is led by a driver who also acts as a professional guide. Food and drinks outside the optional wine tasting, as well as gratuities, are not included.
