Overview

Cairo is home to some of the world's most ancient monuments, including the Giza Plateau and nearby pyramid fields. This day tour lasts about 6 to 8 hours and covers the main pyramid sites of Giza, Saqqara, and Dahshur. Transportation is provided in an air-conditioned private vehicle with hotel pickup and drop-off within Giza, Downtown, Zamalek, and Dokki. The tour begins at the Giza Plateau, where the guide will show you the three pyramids built for Kings Cheops, Chephren, and Menkaure, as well as the Great Sphinx statue. The Great Pyramid of Cheops is the only surviving wonder of the ancient world. After spending about two hours here, there is a half-hour visit to the Sphinx. Next, the tour continues to Saqqara to see King Zoser's complex and his step pyramid, recognized as Egypt's first pyramid and the first rock-cut building in history. This stop also lasts around two hours. Finally, the tour moves to Dahshur, approximately 10 kilometers south of Saqqara, where you will visit the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, both built by King Senefru. The Bent Pyramid has a unique shape due to a change in its angle during construction, and the Red Pyramid was the first successful straight-sided pyramid. After visiting Dahshur for about two hours, the tour returns guests to their hotels. This tour includes lunch, bottled mineral water, an Egyptologist guide, entrance fees, tourism police permission, taxes, handling charges, and hotel pickup and drop-off in specified areas. A 20-minute camel ride is included if the all-inclusive option is selected. An additional fee applies for pickup and drop-off from airports and some other districts. Tipping and other personal expenses are not included. Infant seats can be requested in advance.
