Overview

This full-day Big Bus tour from Hurghada to Cairo lasts approximately 18 to 21 hours. The day begins with pickup from central Hurghada hotels and a six-hour journey to Cairo by a large, comfortable Mercedes coach equipped with air conditioning and a small toilet. There are rest stops on the way both to and from Cairo. Upon arrival, the first stop on selected options is the Egyptian Museum in central Cairo, where a qualified Egyptologist guide with over 15 years of experience provides detailed explanations of key artifacts, including the treasures of Tutankhamun. On selected options, a short felucca boat cruise on the Nile River follows, offering views of Cairo from the water. The tour then proceeds to the Giza Pyramids area for about 90 minutes. Visitors see the Great Pyramid of King Cheops, the pyramids of Chephren and Mycerinus, and the Valley Temple, with opportunities for panoramic photos. Next, the guide leads a visit to the Great Sphinx of Giza, the largest monolith statue in the world, measuring over 73 meters long and 20 meters high. The tour includes a visit to a papyrus factory, where the process of making paper from papyrus plants is explained.
