The class begins with a tuk-tuk pickup at your hotel, taking you to a local pottery studio in Siem Reap. Over about one hour and 45 minutes, a skilled local artist explains the history of Cambodian pottery and demonstrates traditional techniques. You then work on a pottery wheel to shape clay, creating your own bowl and practicing Khmer-style carving using various tools. All materials needed are provided, and participants receive bottled water and ice cream during the session. Your finished pottery piece is fired in a kiln overnight and can be collected the next day. At the end of the class, you receive a Cambodian Potter Diploma acknowledging your work. After the workshop, the tuk-tuk returns you to your hotel.

Your experience begins with a convenient tuk-tuk pickup and a refreshing welcome drink upon arrival at our center. After a guided tour of the workshop, a professional local artist will demonstrate how to master the traditional Cambodian kick wheel. Under the expert guidance of our master potters, you will get behind the wheel to shape local clay into five bowls, vases, or mugs, and then add authentic Khmer Kbach decorations to your masterpieces. This hands-on activity is perfect for all skill levels and offers a unique immersion into traditional Cambodian craftsmanship.
