Over about one hour and 45 minutes, a skilled local artist explains the history of Cambodian pottery and demonstrates traditional techniques. You then work on a pottery wheel to shape clay, creating your own bowl and practicing Khmer-style carving using various tools. All materials needed are provided, and participants receive bottled water and ice cream during the session. Your finished pottery piece is fired in a kiln overnight and can be collected the next day. At the end of the class, you receive a Cambodian Potter Diploma acknowledging your work. After the workshop, the tuk-tuk returns you to your hotel.
