Over time, disuse rendered it Europe’s most dangerous path. However, after extensive restoration, it reopened in 2015 and is now safe and accessible. The route spans from the Guadalhorce-Guadalteba reservoir to El Chorro, featuring narrow sections just 1 meter wide. It parallels the railroad tracks, showcasing the Gaitanes gorge and Gaitanejo
