Overview

Visitors begin at Skyglass Canela in Canela, Brazil, by walking on one of the largest steel and glass platforms in the world. The platform is suspended by steel cables, allowing some flexibility, and extends 68 meters beyond the cliff edge, standing 360 meters above the Caí River valley. From the glass floor, visitors can look down 35 meters beyond the central pillar and see the Vale da Ferradura below. The site includes a deck area for photos and for viewing sunsets in the late afternoon. The visit lasts between two and three hours and includes entry to the Iron Memorial, a museum where visitors can learn about the history and development of iron, an important material in daily life. A food court with fast food, coffee, and wine is available on site. The ticket covers access to both the glass platform and the Iron Memorial. Parking is not included. An optional attraction called Abusado, located at the base of the platform, is not part of this admission. Visitors with acute labyrinthitis or mental disorders are advised not to participate. Personal belongings and items that could fall into the valley and cause environmental damage are not allowed on the platform.
