A former political prisoner leads the approximately 4-hour tour, which includes transportation around the island by bus and a visit to Nelson Mandela’s prison cell. The tour covers the man-made facilities and the isolation cells of South African leaders such as Jacob Zuma, Kgalema Motlanthe, and Nelson Mandela. The tour guide or driver does not join the island tour but will meet guests at the Gateway entrance upon return.
